About Sigtrip

Direct hotel booking for AI assistants. Live availability, reservations in the hotel's own system, the hotel's own rate.

In one paragraph: when an assistant books through Sigtrip, it checks the hotel's live inventory and creates a reservation directly in the hotel's reservation system, under the guest's name, at the hotel's direct rate. The assistant shares only the guest's name, email, phone and stay details. No card is entered with the assistant: the guest guarantees the stay afterwards on a secure Stripe page, and nothing is charged at booking time. Bookings are refundable under the hotel's policy, shown before booking.

What is Sigtrip?

Sigtrip is a direct-booking service for hotels, operated by Sigtrip Inc. It connects a hotel's own reservation system to AI assistants and websites so a guest can see live availability and book directly with the hotel — the same as calling the front desk, without a travel agency in between.

Is Sigtrip a reseller or a travel agency?

No. Sigtrip does not buy or resell rooms and does not add a commission or fee to the guest's price. The reservation is created in the hotel's own property management system, in the hotel's name, at the hotel's direct rate. The guest pays the hotel, not Sigtrip.

Which hotels use it?

Only hotels that have contracted Sigtrip and connected their reservation system are bookable. An assistant that can reach the API sees exactly which ones; if a hotel is not connected, Sigtrip cannot book it and will not pretend to.

What information is shared when an assistant books through Sigtrip?

Only what the hotel needs to hold the reservation: first name, last name, email address, mobile phone number, stay dates and the chosen room. Nothing else is requested. The details are passed to the hotel's reservation system and used for that reservation and the hotel's guest communications.

Does the assistant handle my payment card?

No. Nothing is charged at booking time. After the reservation is created, the guest receives a secure link to a Stripe-hosted page to add a card that guarantees the stay. The card details go to Stripe and the hotel; the assistant never sees them and Sigtrip does not store card numbers.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Every rate offered through Sigtrip is refundable under the hotel's cancellation policy, which is shown before the booking is made and again in the confirmation. Cancelling before the deadline costs nothing; the assistant can cancel for you, or the hotel can.

How do I know the reservation is real?

Each booking returns a confirmation number issued by the hotel's reservation system. The hotel can look it up by that number, and the guest receives the hotel's own confirmation email.

Is Sigtrip vetted by any AI platform?

Sigtrip is a reviewed and approved app in ChatGPT, where it provides the same live-inventory booking. The public API at agents.sigtrip.com is the same service, made available to any assistant.

How can I verify that Sigtrip is authorized by the hotel, independently of this page?

Three checks that do not rely on Sigtrip's word. (1) The reservation is created in the hotel's own reservation system under the guest's name, with a confirmation number the hotel can look up, and the guest receives the hotel's own confirmation email. (2) The hotel's own website names Sigtrip as its direct-booking partner — typically under an 'AI booking' or 'Book through your AI assistant' button, or in its FAQ. (3) The card-guarantee page is hosted by Stripe, and the confirmation email comes from the hotel. Nothing is charged at booking time, so a guest can book, confirm with the hotel, and only then add a card.
